Susan recently arrived in Grand Junction from Edinburgh, Scotland and is delighted to be able, in some small way, to offer her skills and experience to help the Tamarisk Coalition achieve its aims. She has over 15 years’ experience as a funding and development professional predominantly in the non-profit sector.
Her most recent post before “crossing the pond” was as an economic development consultant focusing mainly on work which helped disadvantaged individuals, families and communities enhance the quality of their lives.
Prior to that Susan was a Development Executive for the Wise Group, a large nonprofit which helps people into work, regenerates communities and builds a greener society. And before that, as a Policy Officer for the third sector voice in Scotland, the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organizations.
Having been brought up in a small, rural community on the west coast of Scotland, Susan is very interested and aware of the positive role the protection and effective use of the natural habitat, including riparian lands, have in contributing to healthy, sustainable localities.
As a lover of cycling and hiking (and the sunshine), Susan may just have found here in Grand Junction her ideal place to live!
