Concert at Edgewater to Benefit River Conservation
GRAND JUNCTION, CO November 2, 2016 – Kannah Creek Brewing Company’s Edgewater location to host concert Sunday, November 6 at 1 pm that will benefit Many Rivers Brewing Company and the Tamarisk Coalition.
Many Rivers Brewing Company is a Colorado public benefit corporation giving all profits from beer sales to organizations that work to improve Colorado Rivers, like the Tamarisk Coalition. "Tamarisk Coalition is so excited for this event to raise awareness about the importance of the rivers in our community and why we need to protect them", states Cara Kukuratis, Outreach Coordinator for the Tamarisk Coalition.
“Since we love rivers, we decided to do something unique by making really good beer and then giving all the profits away to communities and organizations that do great river work, such as the Tamarisk Coalition” says Tim Carlson, president of Many Rivers Brewing. Carlson has worked over the past 15 years with watershed groups throughout the West and is the driving force behind this venture.
Kannah Creek brewers worked closely with Many Rivers’ founders to create the recipe for Many Rivers’ first beer, the Many Rivers Amber Ale. The beer will be on tap on the lawn during the concert, with all sales going towards the launch of Many Rivers Brewing Company.
“We are flattered that Many Rivers chose us to be a part of this project”, say Kannah Creek owner Jim Jeffryes, “and we are excited and support their efforts to improve the health of our rivers, which something we all need to work towards.”
Many Rivers Amber Ale is tentatively set to be released to liquor stores in late December or early January. The public may visit their website www.manyriversbrewing.com to stay up to date on beer releases.
